Driving directions: From Phoenix: Travel I-17 take Cornville/McGuireville Exit Rt. 119. Travel towards Cornville, turn right (10 miles) onto Page Spring Road on right, follow for about 5 miles to the Winery on right.

The Story: Established in 2002 Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery is off to a fantastic start. The Zinfandel, White Zinfandel, Syrah and Chardonnay vines bask proudly on terraced slops directly across from Oak Creek. Javalina Leap Vineyards, one of Arizona's newest vineyard, is adjacent to the Oak Creek Vineyard & Winery. This area is quickly becoming the premier Arizona wine destination.

The Story:

Echo Canyon Vineyards is a private members only Estate Winery. This boutique vineyard is producing some of the best wines in the United States, if not the wine world. The wine maker hails from one of the oldest, most respected wineries in California. Echo Canyon wines are not in stores and can only be obtained by joining the "Fortunate 500", wine club. No flashy ads or marketing, only the ruthless pursuit of one goal: To make the best wine in the world. The Yavapai Restaurant at Sedona's Enchantment Resort is a member of Echo Canyon's Fortunate 500. Here one can enjoy a glass of Echo Canyon Vineyards wine along with one of the best dining experiences in Arizona. The restaurant overlooks breathtaking Boynton Canyon through massive windows providing a 180-degree view.

The Story:
This former mining town has become an eclectic art community with great shops, restaurants and artisans. Jerome Winery handcrafts 30 individually distinct wines. The Vintners philosophy is to create enjoyable wines for the novice and connoisseur alike. Wines include a sassy White Zinfandel a well balanced Pinot Grigio and robust Mourvedre, Zinfandel and Shiraz. The winery also features a charming Muscat and a Champagne as well as six Library Wines including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Shiraz and a 15-year old Port.

The Story:

The Story:
Dos Cabezas Wineworks is bases in Kansas Settlement just south of Willcox. The operation is the mistress of three devoted wine lovers of very different backgrounds, a Hollywood movie director, a retied Car Dealership Executive and a Sr. Civil Servant. Combined the Dos Cabezas team produces award winning wines and fantastic fruit. Dos Cabezas grapes seem to have a magic quality as they all but ensure award-winning wines. The Wine Spectator recently rated a Callaghan Vineyards wine made with Dos Cabezas Petit Syrah grapes 89 out of 100 points. The Arizona Republic named the Dos Cabezas 2000 Toscano "Wine of the Week" in November 2002. Dos Cabezas wines are served all over the world, from New Zealand to our nations capital. The Story: The wines of Cave Creek Winery (CCW) were hand selected by a Sommelier to appeal to both young and experience wine drinkers. Cave Creek Winery is both a wine retailer and wine bar. Best Bit: Beating Arizona's summer heat in Jerome at 5,500 feet (Denver 5,280). Ghost City is one of the best B & B's in the state.
Driving directions: From Phoenix, take I-17 north to Camp Verde. From there, take state highway 260 west to Cottonwood, where you'll turn left on state highway 89-A. Keep an eye out for signs pointing the way to Prescott/Jerome, and proceed towards Clarkdale and on up the hill to Jerome. Once in town, you'll see the sign on the left just before you enter the main commercial district.

The Story:
Jerome was founded in the late 1800`s and once a booming mining town, it became one of America`s largest ghost towns in the 1950`s when the last of the mines was shut down. The Ghost City Inn is owned and operated by the Town's Chief of Police Allen Muma and his wife Jackie. Centrally located in historic Jerome, Ghost City Inn features a friendly atmosphere with host of guest amenities. Wander through Jerome's many fine shops, boutiques and restaurants. Directions: 300 North Broadway, Clarkdale, AZ 86324: From Phoenix: Take I-17 north to exit 287 (Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Clarkdale). Turn left (west) on Highway 260 (Approximately 14 miles to 4th traffic light). Turn left at the Wal-mart light. This is Main Street and Highway 89A. Follow Main Street through Cottonwood past the Tuzigoot turn off. Verde Canyon Train Depot directional sign is on the road. The train is directly ahead at 300 North Broadway.

The Story:

The Verde Canyon Railroad's new and exciting "Grape Train Escape" wine tasting events are just another great reason to book passage on Verde Canyon Railroad. However, the train ride itself is one of the best tours available to see the backcountry of this State. This area of Arizona has wonderfully diverse terrain from Desert wildlife and plants to Red Rocks and Cottonwoods. The train transports its passengers into the heart of a canyon unlike any other mode of transportation. Autumn trips will surely make any New Englander homesick, the air is pregnant with the scent of fall along with its trademark brilliant oranges and reds colors.
